BEECHWOOD
We had a great turn out at Beechwood, with 118 players turning up for the day of which there were 25 guests including National Executives. Thank you to those who invited guests.
The first three prizes went to the following 4ball alliance partnership:
1. Wayne Davis, Colin Furber, Rod Hornsfeldt & Mike Halder on 95 points.
2. Martyn Heaton, Dale Steffensen, Norj Parkinson & Rowan Forster on 88 points.
3 Ian Crafford. Doug Milne, Roy Rudham & Dods Pringle on 87 points.
It was good to see over a hundred players again.
QACCLECTIC
After this game I am not at liberty to inform you of the winners of QACCLECTIC, as this will be announced at prize giving.
The leaders after the previous game are listed below:
1. Craig Wearne on 473.4 points
2. John Crimes on 472.2 points
3. Mick Sugden on 471.7 points
4. Brad Trevethan on 468.2 points
5. Colin Furber on 467.8 points
MILWORTH
The winners of the Milworth Trophy were Luke Pillay and Doug Stephenson
The runners up were Mick Sugden and John Crimes.
The committee had to decide the winners in terms of the Milworth Rules. This leaves a bad taste in the mouth so please next year make sure you know your rules before entering.
The winners of the plate final were Patrick Pinn & Rory Bebington.
WILD COAST
Unfortunately we could not play at the Wild Coast on Tuesday. This decision was not made by us, but by the Executive Committee at the Wild Coast. They opted to close the course due to the heavy rain they had had over the previous few days which left the course under water.
We will see you at the last game of the year at Royal Durban on Thursday 19 November 09.
This is our Year End Game and as you can see from the attached draw we have a large field again. I ask you to please book in with Helen 15 minutes before your tee off time to ensure we tee off on time.
We will be serving supper from +/- 17h00 together with a couple of complimentary drinks. Please guys by fair – no doubles and fancy drinks as we have a budget and we would like all the members to benefit equally.
The fixture list for 2010 is below so please diaries this now and ensure you enjoy the camaraderie that is QACCS GOLF CLUB in 2010.
