KZN-September Newsletter

September Newsletter.

Hi everyone,

Believe it or not we are already 2/3rds of the way through 2010, with only 4 more fixtures to go. In order to ensure that we have no more no-shows here are the remaining fixtures:

07 September Kloof CC (4 ball Alliance)
05 October Beachwood CC (4BBB Bonus Bogey & Milworth Semi’s)
02 November Mt Edgecombe (1) (4BBB Stableford & Milworth Finals)
25 November Royal (Year end Game, AGM & Dinner)

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Wild Coast looms with only a few entries to date. Please remember that if you have a credit from last year this does not mean you will be automatically entered, you still have to confirm that you are available on the day – TUESDAY 19 OCTOBER.
There is no bus this year due to the lack of support last year, but we will be stopping over at the 19th Hole, providing there are sufficient members who wish to do this.

MEMBERSHIP:

No news is good news – nothing happening on this front this month

NEW UNIFORMS:

I have all the stock and will be bringing it along to Kloof for all those who are playing. I will have it packed in boxes according to sizes and each packet will have your name on. Please sign for your shirts and cap and if you haven’t paid yet please do so at Kloof, bearing in mind that R50.00 for 2 shirts and a cap is outrageously cheap!!!
The new uniform will be compulsory at the October game going forward, remember that the slacks/shorts for golf should be black and the slacks after golf should be stone/beige.

NATIONAL TOURNAMENT 2011:

This will be held at Welkom in May 2011 so start saving now.

STARTERS & SCORERS:

My personal thanks to Ricky and Patrick for doing scoring every month, it means I don’t have to beg, bribe or cajole in order to get help.
To the starters each month – thanks a lot I realize it means getting to the course early, but as it is only once a year (or so) I hope it is not too inconvenient.
Anyone who would like to offer to be starter occasionally please drop me a line I promise I won’t “abuse” your generosity!!

See you all at Kloof and thanks to those members who are bringing visitors, we have a field of 116 at the moment.

Regards

Helen
