Hi everybody,
The Captain has a strained throat from all the “vivazuluing” he has been doing at the Moses Mabidha stadium over the past few weeks and has asked me to write this month’s newsletter!!!
Firstly please note the change of venue and date KLOOF CC TUESDAY 13 JULY apologies for the early start, this is unavoidable due to the darker earlier nights.
1) Qaclectic: Due to the small number of members who entered for this competition this year, the committee has decided to scrap it and refund the R100.00 entry fee. I will have this with me at Kloof on the 13th July.
2) Milworth Trophy Competition: Those members who did not play their rounds at the June game at Beachwood are reminded that they must play before mid July in order for me to do the draw for the next round at the August game at Mount Edgecombe on the 03 August.
3) New Uniform: Chris will have the proposed new golf and after shirt for your approval at the next game. These shirts will be sponsored by Qaccs from the
National’s surplus and you will be asked to pay about R 50.00 for both shirts.
4) Golfers Club: I am not sure if you all are aware but Golfers Club will give all Qaccs members 10% discount on all purchases (golf balls excluded)
5) Members News:
Bruce Reid is off to the UK for the birth of his 1st grandchild and taking in the British Open at the same time.
Roy Parker is back on the course after a few months of driving me “up the wall”
Rod Van Eck is back in SA on his annual holiday from Dubai and we look forward to seeing him at Kloof.
Well, that’s about it for this month (hope this doesn’t become “my job”)
