KZN-Newsletter No.6

NEWSLETTER No 6:

Hi All,

Out with Old!!!

We say “Good Bye” to Chris Wilkins as he departs for the Eastern Cape. Chris will try to arrange business around the Qaccs games but tells us not to “hold our breath”. There is, however, every chance that he will make the Wild Coast Trip in October!
Thanks a lot Chris for all your hard work during your time as Captain of Qaccs KZN and especially for all the effort you put into the very successful Qaccs Nationals Tournament 2010. From comments received from the other clubs it will take some beating!!

In With the New!!

We say “Hello” to Luke Pillay, who has agreed to take over the reins from Chris for the rest of this year and will be Captain in 2011 as well. Thanks for your commitment Luke, we wish you all the best.

Milworth 2010:

We are into the ¼ finals of the Milworth and 3 teams from each competition will play at Mount Edgecombe. The other two teams from each competition will play outside of the monthly meeting at a time and venue agreed upon by themselves and before mid-September. The semi-finals will be played at the October game at Beachwood on Tuesday 05 October and I would ask all those who qualify to try and play at this game.

Members News:

Bruce Reid definitely went to the British Open as can be seen from the photograph I emailed earlier. Must have been wonderful to experience Louis pulling this one off!!
John Campbell spent his July following the “Tour de France” and we look forward to hearing of his experiences at the August game.
Welcome home chaps hope you had a wonderful time!!
Malcolm Wilson didn’t have such a wonderful time when he had a pace maker fitted. He is now fully recovered and full of his usual “nonsense”.

Inductions:

Peter Botha was inducted at Kloof CC on the 13th July, and Brian Daventry-Bull will be inducted at Mount Edgecombe on the 03 August.
Welcome to both new members, we hope you enjoy your time with Qaccs.

New Uniforms:

The new golf shirt, after shirt and cap will be available at the September game, providing you furnish your shirt size to me ASAP. The cost to each member for all 3 items is R 50.00; this is due to the subsidy by QACCS KZN from profits made at the National Tournament at the Wild Coast.
Please note that the golf shirt will be worn with black shorts or pants and the after shirt with beige/stone pants.

Wild Coast 19 October 2010:

Put this date in your diary now – the entry form will be out after the August game.

National Tournament Trophy:

When next you are having a meal at Butcher Boys, Florida Road don’t forget to ask Laz to show you the National Tournament trophy, which he has displayed in his bar.

Cheerio from me, see you at Mount Edgecombe

HELEN
